EcoCoir Mulch Mats Pack/50
EcoCoir Mats come in two sizes (200mm2, 250mm2).
The smaller is ideal for Combiguard and NaturGuard 300 shelters and allows for quicker installation.
The larger is a generic size tailored for all other tree shelters except the 1.2m size. It is ideally used in TriGuard and NaturGuard 450 shelters and both FiberGuard shelters which makes for an extremely fast installation time.
Mats are 1000gsm and come with natural Latex coating to inhibit weed penetration.

EcoCoir Erosion Control Blanket Biodegradable
EcoCoir Blanket – an Eco-Friendly Coconut Mat
EcoCoir is a product used extensively on sloping sites where erosion is likely from wind and rainfall. Made from natural coconut fibre, the EcoCoir will also facilitate plant growth by providing insulation cover to the spreading root systems of plants. EcoCoir comes in both 300gsm and 450gsm grades with 50m rolls 2.4m width for quick and efficient laying.
This blanket is a Jute Reinforced Grade which is a completely natural product. The standard PP reinforcing is replaced with natural jute and cotton thread.

Before installing mulch matting or weed matting thorough eradication of weeds from the area to be covered is strongly recommended. We advise spraying the site with organic spray, allowing a day or two before installing the matting.
When installing the matting, we recommend rolling this out and if using more than one roll, ensure it overlaps by 10cm.
Pinning the matting - At the edges, pin every 0.5m metres and in the middle pin every 1m.
Planting it out - When planting out, using shears or a sharp pair of commercial scissors, cut an inverted T shape and open flaps to insert plant.

KBC SquareGuard Combo (600mm to 1.2m height)
Reap the savings of buying our complete SquareGuard units as a combo that includes guard, EcoCoir mat and matching stake. EcoCoir mat has the advantage of quick installation being reasonably rigid and self-supporting. Simply place the mat around the plant then mount the SquareGuard on top. Once the stake is placed through the guard and into the EcoCoir mat, the unit is then securely fixed into place. EcoCoir mat comes with latex coating on one side for better weed suppression.
- The SquareGuard 60 is ideal to protect plants from rabbits and pukekos

These are not ideal for rocky terrain The mat is secured by the top nodule that grips the mat. Avoid hammering them all the way down to prevent the nodule from piercing through the mat. For added grip, angle the pegs while banging them in.
